README
ReplyEveryMail by Michael Backes (miba@telda.net) INSTALLATION: 1. Open RepEvMail*.zip and extract all files enclosed. 2. Install RepEvMailEN.sis either directly on your Psion or use Psiwin to install the macro from your PC. 3. Install SysRam1.sis and SystInfo.sis in the same manner. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT SETTINGS: 1. Start a new e-mail in the e-mail application. Under the menu Tools - Editor preferences remove the check at "Retain original mail when replying". 2. Your default macros folder in Macro5 or Assistant must be set accordingly. Macro5: Menu - Tools - Advanced - Macros folder… (or Ctrl+F) Assistant: Menu - Special - Folders - Macro-Folder… (or Ctrl+F) 3. Assign ReplyEveryMail to a hotkey in Assistant or Macro5 and off you go. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FUNCTION: ReplyEveryMail is designed for use with the e-mail application of the Series 5 Classic, mx or mxPro and will only run in conjunction with Macro5 or Assistant (or any other macros launcher that uses the Macro5 Lib). The type of your device will be detected and the program will adjust itself to the device automatically. If you desire to respond to a certain mail, the macro will automatically generate a new mail and quote the body of the mail you are responding to therein. The macro can either be launched in the mail overview or directly in the opened mail. Single mails as well as digest mails received from different mailing lists will be replied to and quoted accordingly. The macro will automatically recognise if it is dealing with a single or a digest mail. All settings are edited and input in dialogues and they will automatically be stored in a data file when a dialogue is switched or when the macro is completed. In order to reset the macro, just delete the data file (.ini) and restart ReplyEveryMail. ReplyEveryMail offers the possibility of changing the reference of a mail whilst the macro is in process. It will also (optionally) insert a predefined and editable signature into your quoted mail. An ending comment or similar may also be input and edited. The input string will then (optionally) be inserted at the end of a quoted mail, no matter if you choose to insert a signature or not.. Any reference abbreviations (Answ.:, Re.:, Ref.:, Subj.:) will be deleted from the reference field and only the selected abbreviation will be inserted in front of the remaining text. A form of greeting for single as well as digest mails may be edited and inserted if selected. Further, it is also possible to have the quoted mail body indented by 4 spaces to the right. Six extra filters may be edited and stored. Strings set in these filters will additionally be deleted from the reference field. By default the first two filters are already set with "[WatchDog checked]" and "[psion-de] (from the German mailing list). These may be edited though. At the start the macro will check if you are in a mail that may be edited. If so, the macro will warn you and complete itself. If selected, you will hear a beep at every dialogue, where you are requested to make a change or input data. This will happen throughout the procedure. After completion of the procedure you will hear two beeps which indicates the end of the macro. You can configure ReplyEveryMail to return back to the original mail in the digest, when it was started from Rolf Vonau's excellent DigestHandler macro. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
