JS Solutions jsBattery 1.0 -------------------------- (shareware) jsBattery is the professional battery manager for Psion Series 5/5mx/5mx Pro and Ericsson MC218 pocket computers. Besides common battery monitoring facilities (including a graph view), it provides a number of advanced functions for getting better information on batteries and better battery management. Installation ------------ Simply run step-by-step all three supplied SIS files and follow the instructions. Important: jsBattery is designed to run still on background whilst using your pocket computer. Therefore it is strongly recommended to install jsBattery on disk C instead of Compact Flast card (disk D). Running from CF card may also disable the auto switch-off function of your pocket computer. Starting jsBattery ------------------ You can run jsBattery from the Extras bar as usual. How to register --------------- jsBattery is distributed as shareware, not as freeware. You can download and try the software, but if you decide to continue using it, you have to register. You do not need to download some special version of this software after registering, you will only insert the registration code into jsBattery which will unlock it and enable all jsBattery's functions. There are certain limitations in the unregistered version of jsBattery which will disappear when you register it. If you register, you will be allowed to: • display graphs of previous batteries • print information and graphs of previous batteries • print statistics • save current graph as bitmap • export previous batteries as text file • you will also ged rid of all unpleasant messages and dialogues about registering Once you register, you will be given the right to get free registration codes for all new versions of jsBattery. You will also support my effort to develop future versions of jsBattery and other software for Symbian/Epoc platform. The unique registration code is generated according to provided user's name and his/her pocket computer's identification number (id). Therefore you must provide me also with the machine unique id so I am able to generate the code for you. You can get the machine id e.g. from jsBattery's registration dialogue or from Shell (System) -> Information menu -> Machine. Price of a licence Price of a registration code for jsBattery is 17 EUR regardless to payment method. (Price in USD is $20, but it is subject of change considering fluctuating exchange rate.) Customers who reside in a member state of the EU have to pay additional VAT (value-added tax) when paying on-line. Payment methods There are three ways how you can realise payment for jsBattery. 1) Secure on-line credit card transaction The easiest way how to register is to register on-line. This method is very safe and also the fastest from all methods available. Please visit my website at www.jssolutions.cz and follow the link to register jsBattery on-line. 2) Sending a cheque If you cannot register on-line, you can send me a cheque (check) for 17 EUR or 20 USD. No eurocheques please! Send the money only on your own risk! Immediately after I receive your payment, I will send you your unique registration code for jsBattery.
