Psuucode 1.0 ======================= Psuucode is a UUencode / UUdecode package for the Psion series 5 and Geofox 1. Using this package you will be able to send and recieve binary attachments with the Messaging suite! Installation is simple- place all the files in this zip file in one directory called psuucode under "\system\apps" Once you have done this you will be able to run the package from the Extras Bar. Usage =========================== Upon Running Psuucode you will be offered the chance to enter your registration key- If you have paid for it :) After that you will be offered a choice of things to do via a menu: UUdecode from File UUdecode from Mail UUencode to File UUencode to Mail UUencoding / UUdecoding to and from files is straight forward- you will be given another dialog asking for relevant source and destinations. To and from Mail needs a little more attention: In order to UUencode to an Email you need to have the Email application open with an email being edited!!! Also the cursor must be in the message body of the open Email!! Otherwise Havoc could be wreaked! Really! In order to UUdecode from an Email you must have the Email with the UUencoded attachment open. Otherwise Bizarre things could happen! Some people have said that the Message suite cannot recieve plain text inline uuencoded messages- This may be true, however I have not had the opportunity to test this.... If you are having difficulties ask the sender to *remove* the "begin" line from the UUencoded message he is going to send. You will then have to copy the message body to an open file, and type "begin 644 Filename" at the top of the encoded text and then save it as a file. You will then be able to UUdecode from file. UUencoded files sent as attachments will not be received by the Message suite. Bugs ============ None that I know of yet... :-) Shareware ============= This is shareware!
