README
USING GALLERY (PSION S3A). You need to put these 13 files in their respective directories: ------------------------------------- in "\PIC\" you need Author1.pic Author2.pic Border1.pic Border2.pic Border3.pic Border4.pic Border5.pic Border6.pic Iconpic.pic in "\OPD\" you need Howto.hlp About.hlp Pictures.dat in "\APP\" you need Gallery.opa ------------------------------------- Installation: ------------- 1. unzip gallery.zip 2. put each of the 13 files in the directories, as above. 3. Go to the psion's SYSTEM screen. 4. Press psion-I (Install). Choose Name: Gallery.opa, Disk: Internal, Position: Last. Press Enter. 5. press psion-A (Assign button to 'gallery'). Use left & right arrow keys until 'Control+Time' is shown. Press Enter now. Using the program: ------------------ Use "add a new picture" from MENU to add pictures to your gallery. These pictures must be ".PIC" files stored in the "\PIC\" directory. Once you have selected a picture, choose from 6 picture frames. Position the picture as you wish. Press TAB to advance through the pictures in your gallery. I've included 2 pics (of ME heh heh!) to start you off. Press TAB & delete if necessary. Save your gallery layout at any time. If you leave the program running, just press CONTROL+TIME to view your gallery. Hints: ------ This is how I got the 2 pictures of the author into the PSION. 1. I scanned b&w photo at 100dpi at size=50% 2. used Paintshop Pro (by JASC) to alter the size & crop. 3. saved the image twice. Once as a .pcx version 5, allowing 256 greyscale, and then as a .pcx version 2, allowing 16 greyscale. (Just select from "Save As" menu option) 4. Copied the 2 .pcx files to the \PIC\ directory of my PSION 5. Used 2 excellent programs, Firepic (Firecrest software) & Draw2.8 from Choclate Island Software to Import the .pcx files & saved them as .pic files. *Experiment with settings. I got these two programs from the Psion Shareware Library, run by Steve Litchfield.
