About SameGame
--------------
SameGame is a simple game for one player, the aim of which is to remove all
the balls on the screen. Balls can only be removed if they are next to
another ball of the same colour. When a ball is removed, all others of the
same colour connected horizontally or vertically are also removed. Balls
above the removed ones will fall down to fill in the gaps, and empty columns
are filled by all the columns to their right sliding left.
Scoring
-------
The score is increased for each ball removed in a turn. For example, if two
balls are removed, you are awarded 3 points (1+2) for that turn. If five
balls are removed, you are awarded 15 points (1+2+3+4+5). If all balls on
the screen are removed, you are awarded a bonus 500 points.
Strategy
--------
As the score increases for every ball removed in a turn, try to collect
together balls of the same colour. At the start of a game, try picking one
colour and removing that to make the areas of other colours larger.
Keys
----
Left, right up and down keys move the cursor.
Psion-direction moves the cursor to the edge of the screen.
Enter removes the ball under the cursor, if possible.
Installation Instructions
-------------------------
To install the game, simply copy SAMEGAME.OPA to the \APP directory on any
drive, create a subdirectory call SAMEGAME, and then copy the file BALLS.PIC
into it.
ie.
SAMEGAME.OPA ---> \APP\SAMEGAME.OPA
BALLS.PIC ---> \APP\SAMEGAME\BALLS.PIC
Then install the application from the system screen (Psion-I).
The game will create a file called SAMEGAME.HGH in a directory called \GPK
(as used by Psion's games packs) on the internal drive of the Psion.
History
-------
The inspiration for SameGame came from KSame by Marcus Kreutzberger, part of
the KDE (K Desktop Environment) project. The SameGame homepage is located
at http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~jnr95r/psion/samegame.html. Pages for my
other psion programs can be accessed from
http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~jnr95r/psion/index.html.
SameGame is freeware; that is you don't have to pay me anything if you keep
the program. However, should you wish to make a small donation to encourage
my development of more Psion programs [ :-) ], my address is

Thanks!
Bugs
----
None that I know of! The only thing to bear in mind is that memory usage
changes throughout the game, but free memory isn't checked for - so if
there's not enough, the program will crash. If this is a problem (it
shouldn't be), then email me at jnr95r@ecs.soton.ac.uk and I'll fix it!
Enjoy...
